Blackjack is easily one of the most popular casino card games today, in both online and land-based casinos. Partly because blackjack offers better odds than any other game and partly because the rules of play are very easy to grasp; in a short time even beginners can win big at this fun and exciting game.

The basic idea of the game is to beat the dealer, with a hand of two or more cards that equals the highest score without going over the limit of twenty-one (bust). It's that simple.

To begin the game, players place a bet and the dealer will distribute two face-up cards to the player, and two cards to himself; one face up, one face down. Then the player will have the choice to either stand with their cards or to draw another card (hit). A player can hit as many times as they like, however if the total score of the player's hand exceeds twenty-one, it is an automatic loss.

The scoring is calculated thus:

  • Cards from 2 to 10 hold face value.
  • Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 10 points.
  • Aces can either equal one or eleven, at the option of the player.
  • An ace in combination with any ten-value card is called a blackjack, which beats all other hands, excepting another blackjack, in which case a tie is called.

The payoff is one-to-one, however a blackjack is paid two-to-three, unless the dealer also gets a blackjack at the same time, in which case the game is declared a draw nobody wins or loses.

Pai Gow Poker is a game based on a combination of 7-card stud poker and Pai Gow, an ancient Chinese game played using domino tiles.

The game is played with a full deck of 52 cards with the addition of one joker. The joker can be used as an Ace or to complete a Flush or Straight. Each player is dealt seven cards which must be arranged into two hands; the high hand consisting of five cards and a low hand with two cards. The high hand must cave a higher value than the low hand. The hands are ranked using traditional poker values, with the exception that a hand of A2345 is the second highest straight.

The player wins if both their hands are of higher value than both the banker's hands, and the player loses if both of the banker's hands are higher. If the player wins one hand and the banker wins the other, both lose.

The banker can be either the dealer or any of the players at the table, and the banker designates which player will be dealt the first hand by a roll of three dice.

Once dealt, each player places their two hands face down in the specially marked boxes on the table. Once all the hands are set, the dealer will then expose the banker's hand. Then each player's hand will be turned up and individually compared to the banker's hand. If the banker loses against a player, it does not have any effect on the other player's hands.

The dealer will then calculate and payout any wins and collect lost bets. Casinos take a 5% commission on all winning bets

casino niagara - Tips

Thank you Cashgurucasino! I just got my check and I am heading to the bank! You guys are the best! I’m gonna tell all my buddies to play the casino at your place. It is so much easier to win! Heheheh…no really, thanks again! - Brian

Thank you very much for friendly and professional assistance to me, who is sometimes a bit slow to understand the workings of the internet. I hope to be able to play with you soon again - keep up the good work! regards Niels :-0)

"Charlotte, I appreciate all the effort by you and your team. I was just telling my wife what a tremendous support group you have. I don't mean to add to what I am sure is a difficult job your people perform. I was on customer service management for years and understand the 'other side'. I wish I had a team such as years on more than one occasion. Please, forward my thanks both up and down the ladder". - Joseph A.
